Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., Cambridge, MA, is an internationally renowned architecture firm led by principals Preston Scott Cohen and Carl Dworkin. The work of the firm is recognized for its deployment of unusual geometries and for its original approach to integrating new buildings with their urban and natural environments.

Among the firm’s most celebrated buildings are the Taubman College at the University of Michigan, Tel Aviv Museum of Art Amir Building, the Taiyuan Museum of Art in China, the Goldman Sachs arcade in New York, the Hefei International School, and the Xining City Center. Projects currently in design or under construction include the Sarmiento Performing Arts Center in Bogotá, the Beth Shalom Synagogue in Overland Park, Kansas, and a 75,000 m2 multi-use development in Boston.

Awards and honors include Cohen’s induction as an Academician at the National Academy of Art, the Award in Architecture from American Academy of Arts and Letters, five Progressive Architecture Awards, and First Prizes in eight international architectural competitions around the world.

Cohen is author of Lightfall, The Return Of Nature, Contested Symmetries and numerous theoretical and historical essays. His work has been widely published and exhibited and is held in numerous museum collections, internationally.

Professor of Architecture

Ali Rahim is (Full) Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design, where he directs the Advanced Architectural Design Program. He is also Director of CAP in SoHo, New York City. Mr. Rahim has served as the Studio Zaha Hadid Visiting Professor at the University of Applied Arts (die Angewandte) in Vienna, as the Louis I. Kahn Visiting Professor at Yale University, and as a Visiting Architecture Professor at Harvard University.
